Brad
Bondroff, President
Mr. Bondroff is the co-founder and
President of The Asset Store since March 2004. Mr. Bondroff
has spent 3+ years working for GE and completing the Executive
Commercial Leadership Program, where he successfully executed
cost savings & deal closure in excess of $5 million & became
Six Sigma Blackbelt Certified. Mr. Bondroff received his
Bachelor of Science in IT and Accounting, as well as his MBA &
Masters degrees all from the University of Maryland.
John Ferber,
Principal
John has been a visionary in the
development of online marketing software. Along with his
brother Scott, John was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of
the Year in 2000 and was named by Washington Techway as one of
the region's top executives under the age of 30. John was a
co-founder of Advertising.com, which was sold to AOL in 2004
for $495 million. John was also
named one of ITRecruiter Magazine's Top Techies to Watch.
Under John’s direction as chief
product officer, Advertising.com has received numerous
technology awards, including “Best Advertising Network” (2004)
and “Best Optimization Technology” (2002) as awarded by ClickZ.
John received his bachelor's degree from Towson University in
1996.
Robert T. Franklin,
Advisory Board Member
A principal of Franklin &
Prokopik, Robert T. Franklin concentrates his practice
in trucking and transportation law, defense of liability
suits and workers' compensation claims, insurance
(including alternative risk finance mechanisms and
regulatory matters), as well as contracts and other
business and corporate matters.
Mr. Franklin is admitted to
practice before the Maryland Bar, the United States
Supreme Court, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of
Appeals, and the United States District Court of Maryland.
Mr. Franklin is a graduate of
Duke University, B.A., magna cum laude; University of
Maryland School of Law, J.D., with honors - John L. Thomas
Prize (for graduating second in class); Order of the Coif;
Member, Maryland Law Review. Adjunct Professor, University
of Baltimore School of Law, 1988-91. Rated AV by
Martindale-Hubbell.
He is General Counsel to
Maryland Motor Truck Association (MMTA) and General
Counsel to Towing and Recovery Professionals of Maryland (TRPM);
Member of various professional organizations, including:
Federation of Defense of Corporate Counsel (FDCC); Defense
Research Institute (DRI); Maryland Defense Counsel, Inc.;
American Bar Association Tort and Insurance Practice
Section (TIPS); and the Transportation Lawyers Association
(TLA).
Daniel
Shuman, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Shuman is the co-founder and
Chief Executive Officer of The Asset Store since March 2004.
Mr. Shuman spent 2.5+ years working for an Investment Banking
firm located in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Shuman completed 6 capital
raise transactions with an average deal size of $4 million.
Mr. Shuman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The
American University and JD/MBA degree from The University of
Maryland.
Mark Walsh,
Principal
Mark is Managing Partner at Ruxton Ventures
LLC, a private investment entity, with minority stakes in a
number of technology and early stage ventures.
After graduating from Union College in NY, Mark
was an anchorman, News Director and advertising salesman for a
CBS TV affiliate in West Virginia. He left to attend Harvard
Business School, where he got his MBA. He went to NYC and
worked at Home Box Office, focusing on marketing and new
business development for HBO and its secondary brand, Cinemax.
In 1986 he
joined the then-fledgling “online information” industry, as VP
and General Manager of CUC International’s online group. CUC
was the leader in interactive shopping, travel and automotive
information and transaction services. He continued his
leadership role in the collision of interactive services and
consumer markets by becoming president of Information
Kinetics, a venture-backed online employment and career
services company, then became president of Genie, the online
service owned by GE.
He joined AOL in early 1995 and realized the
early potential of the Internet to affect how businesses
bought and sold from each other. He created and ran AOL
Enterprise, the business-to-business division of AOL. In mid
1997, he joined VerticalNet Inc, as the CEO, taking the
company public in early 1999; the first publicly traded B2B
(business to business) Internet company. He became chairman
in late 2000.
He joined the John Kerry for President Campaign
as its head of internet operations, then moved to become the
founding CEO of Air America Radio.
He serves as a trustee at Union College, was a
director of the Philadelphia Orchestra, In2Books, and other
not-for-profit organizations. He also serves as a senior
fellow at the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the Smith
Business School of The University of Maryland. He has
appeared on a number of national and international television
networks, including NBC’s The Today Show, CNBC, MSNBC, CBS,
ABC News, CNN, Chinese and Japanese National Networks, Israeli
TV, South African TV, and others. He has been
quoted/interviewed for the New York Times and its Magazine,
the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, and a wide
variety of consumer and business publications around the
globe. He has been the keynote and featured speaker at a
number or business conferences around the globe.
